Labs We Recommend:
When necessary Dr. Veselak will recommend specific labs like Cyrex, GI MAP, Organic Acids Test and Toxicity testing to determine the cause of your problem. We have found that most chronic health issues are related to immune related issues
Treatment:
Our treatment focuses on addressing the root cause of the problems. We have discovered it is more complicated than fixing a “leaky gut,” although this is a necessary component in treating the patient.
Our research and treatment has led us to conclude that balancing and restoring the immune system is essential. The fine balance between our innate and adaptive immune system has been tested due to the amount of toxins we are exposed to on a daily basis. This creates inflammation and a dysbiosis (bad bacteria in the gut) that perpetuates the state of inflammation. When the immune system gets affected this can lead to infections viral or bacteria. It can also lead to an increase in allergies, asthma, sinus problems, urinary and respiratory tract infections.
If the response remains unchecked it can lead to chronic inflammatory pain syndromes as well as autoimmunity.
