Vagus Nerve Stimulation

Reset, Restore, and Calm the Nervous System

At Camarillo Functional Health, we use Vagus Nerve Exercises to help restore balance to the autonomic nervous system, improve resilience, and reduce symptoms related to stress, pain, and dysautonomia. The vagus nerve plays a central role in regulating digestion, mood, inflammation, and the “rest and digest” response. When it’s not functioning optimally, patients may experience anxiety, POTS, digestive issues, migraines, and chronic pain.

Our vagus nerve therapies combine at-home exercises with advanced in-office tools like Rezzimax® Tuner Pro and Transcutaneous Vagus Nerve Stimulation (tVNS) for powerful, non-invasive results.

How Vagus Nerve Exercises Work

  • Gentle breathing, humming, and eye-movement exercises stimulate vagal tone naturally

  • Rezzimax® Tuner Pro uses vibration and resonance therapy to calm the nervous system and reduce tension

  • tVNS (Transcutaneous Vagus Nerve Stimulation) delivers safe, non-invasive electrical stimulation to the vagus nerve through the ear

  • Regular stimulation shifts the nervous system out of “fight or flight” and into “rest and digest,” reducing stress and improving resilience

Conditions Supported

  • Anxiety, depression, and mood imbalances

  • POTS and dysautonomia

  • Migraines and chronic headaches

  • Digestive dysfunction (IBS, motility issues, reflux)

  • Chronic pain and inflammation

  • PTSD and trauma-related symptoms

  • Sleep disturbances and fatigue

Benefits of Vagus Nerve Exercises

  • Non-invasive and drug-free

  • Promotes relaxation and nervous system resilience

  • Reduces inflammation and supports gut health

  • Improves brain-body communication

  • Can be combined with Functional Neurology, BrainTap, and neurofeedback for greater results

What to Expect

  • We’ll teach you simple daily exercises to strengthen vagal tone

  • In-office sessions may include Rezzimax vibration therapy or tVNS stimulation

  • Patients often notice improvements in stress tolerance, digestion, sleep, and mood within weeks

A Comprehensive Approach

As a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner and Board Certified in Integrative Medicine, Dr. Veselak has found that successful treatment is the result of finding the source of the problem, and not covering the symptoms with medications.

With all chronic pain patients there is an underlying component that must be addressed if the patient is ever going to respond to conservative care and live a life without medications.
